Company overview

Psycho-Tec Systems

A creative technology studio dedicated to building emotionally intelligent, culturally attuned tools for healing, legacy, and community care. Our flagship consumer product is Serenima — an AI companion for everyday well-being. (An earlier working name was Anima; the public product is Serenima.)

Executive summary

Serenima is designed to support people across identities, cultures, and lived experiences. It blends trauma-informed design and AI so daily check-ins, conversation, and gentle growth feel human, inclusive, and accessible. We are building, testing, and preparing to scale — and we welcome aligned partners.

Legal & leadership

Legal name: Psycho-Tec Systems LLC, registered in Connecticut. Longer term, the studio may sit under a parent brand (Kindroot Systems) housing multiple wellness tools.

Founded by: Saul Pellot Vendrell — creative entrepreneur and trauma-informed designer.

Where we are: Serenima’s companion app, API, and privacy practices are live in production testing. Store listings, community pilots, and partnerships are the next chapter. Brand and pitch work are underway; the core product is no longer “design only.”

Mission

To design emotionally intelligent, culturally grounded technologies that foster healing, legacy, and community care — especially for those underserved by traditional systems.

Vision

A world where mental well-being tools are inclusive, trauma-informed, and rooted in empathy, accessibility, and cultural wisdom.

Core values

Who we build for

People who face barriers to traditional care — including Afro-Latinx, LGBTQ+, Indigenous, immigrant, and neurodivergent communities; young adults looking for culturally relevant tools; caregivers and community leaders; and anyone navigating stress, grief, or emotional isolation. Institutions (schools, clinics, cultural organizations) are part of the longer partnership roadmap.

How Serenima works today

  1. Onboarding: consent-first quiz, language, voice, and goals.
  2. Daily check-ins: voice or text, mood tracking, adaptive conversation.
  3. Insight: weekly recaps, habits, and progress you can see.
  4. Crisis protocol: local helplines, a crisis screen, optional SOS sharing with people you choose. Not emergency services.

On the roadmap

Legacy planning and digital memory tools, community rituals, peer stewardship training, therapist-ready summaries, and formal research partnerships. These are intentions — not listed as shipping features until they exist in the app.

Serenima is not therapy, diagnosis, or emergency care. If you are in crisis, contact local emergency services or a crisis line.
